All students need a 4L jug (milk, water, juice) for class by Monday. They must have the lid and MUST be very well washed out (even a drop of milk will smell after two days)!
A large part of this gadget project will be done at home. I will provide weekly (or bi-weekly, depending on our needs) times for partners to work in class and confer. First, I apologize as I forgot to post this on Thursday. It is a good lesson that we all make mistakes and why we also always write our homework in our agendas, as well. :)
There are 8 pages with 6 squares each. Each page has a specific food that each student needs to draw/print a picture of and label it in French. Following are the 8 themes: 1) les pâtes/la nourriture italienne 2) les légumes 3) les fruits 4) les fromages/les produits laitiers 5) les viandes 6) les poissons/les fruits de mer 7) des pains/des pâtisseries 8) (this one is special. This one has six different international food types) 1) la nourriture chinoise 2) la nourriture japonaise 3) la nourriture greque 4) la nourriture indienne 5) la nourriture mexicaine 6) la nourriture française Thank you SO MUCH to all the parents and students of Division 3! We had an OUTSTANDING bakesale, with more treats than two classes normally produce!!! I have said it before and will happily say it again, Division 3 rocks!!!!! :) Please volunteer if you can! Thank you!! Since we have an uneven number of divisions this year, one division needs to supply BAKESALE alone. Mme Brewer asked our class at the beginning of the year if we were capable of hosing a BAKESALE all by ourselves! Division 3's response? And overwhelming YES! This is a GREAT and AMAZING group of young people who love a challenge! *****NOTE:***** we need THREE PARENT VOLUNTEERS to help organize and serve BAKESALE on Friday!!! Please help us!!! :) I now have a math page. Scroll down under the 'more' tab to 'les mathématiques' where you will find tweets about math homework from Mr. Bobrownick!!
Students need to collect food labels (or pictures of the label or food from the internet) to describe their ideal day of meals. They need breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack as minimum. For example, if they have eggs and toast for breakfast, they need a package or picture of an egg, the bread, the butter/jam/peanut butter/etc. on the toast, the bacon/etc. with it and the label for their juice, milk, etc. If they have steak, potatoes and veggies for dinner, they need a picture/label of the steak, it's seasonings, the potatoes, the butter used, the veggies used, seasonings, what they have to drink, etc. Due for Monday, January 19. |
