BRAVO Div. 3!!!
Our students brought in 112 food items! I am so proud of them! They actually 'beat' the next closest class by just one can! Their kindness in donating so much food will be rewarded with a pizza party on Friday!

..vous souhaitent un joyeux Hallowe'en!
... check out two GREAT new links in my "renseignements générals" page. Click on the buttons "Wordreference" to go to an online English-French dictionary (for when students forget their paper ones at school) and the "Bescherelle." The Bescherelle is an online resource that will conjugate any verb in French! A great tool!
We have finished our "album de famille" and they are GREAT! The students did a wonderful job. Of course, I want them to share their work with all their family! Students will bring them home today, but they need to bring the books back to school on Monday, as they are going to go on display!
Also, your copy of your child's interim is going home today as I now have copies for the students' files. Merci! Along with the large shoe box for mid-November, students will need a handful of cotton balls for mid-December. By Friday, students will need to finish drawing and colouring their whole book and the cover page/back cover. We will glue our books together on Friday. I encourage students to take the books home, read and share them with you, but to bring them back Monday. Our class' books will be displayed in the front showcase after Hallowe'en!
I have consulted with the principal and it has been decided that scooters, being wheeled, should be outside and locked up in the bike rack. There are so many in class they are both a distraction at lunch and at the end of the day, as well as a safety hazard since they are easy to trip over.
As such, please refrain from having your child bring his/her scooter until there is a lock available so they can keep it outside in the bike rack area. Thank you. Friday morning, first thing, we will be presenting our dogs/cats to the class. Students have been working hard at learning to describe people and their pets, so this will be a great opportunity to share. If parents are unable to bring the dog/cat, students can bring a photo and still use their French! Once the presentations are over, the dogs/cats will return home.
Students need to finish writing their introduction page (they have the draft, some just need to write the good copy) for tomorrow. Interims go home today! Again, please make sure to read them and sign them and return them in your child's agenda.
Student photos are also going home today! Students need to finish writing the good copy of their book for their descriptions and those of mom, dad, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. They have learned so much and are doing fabulous work in their books! Interims will go home tomorrow. Please read them over with your child, sign them, and return them in their agendas for Monday. I will take a copy for your child's file, then return the original to you in the agendas.
Students need to write their good copy (in their booklets) of their descriptions of themselves, their mother and father for tomorrow. The writing is done, they just need to recopy it into their booklets. Students began work on their aunts and uncles. For students who have a lot of aunts, they will describe three and can add the rest in their book with the sentence that begins with an *. This is due tomorrow as
This is the template the students worked on today: Je suis la nièce de mes trois tantes, Maria, Evelyne et Sue. Joe… Iqbal… John… Je suis plus petit que mes oncles…. |
