Due date: le mardi 24 septembre, 2013.
Also, it is individual photo day tomorrow. Students are requested not to wear black or white.
In our first unit, titled 'Moi,' we will be doing a Family Tree (un arbre généalogique). In preparation for this upcoming activity (in the next few weeks), I would like the students to research the names, birth dates, marriage dates and death dates of their family members (parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and great grandparents). They know how to write dates in French. They can use the resources in the class (for example the months) to help them. Finding these in the next week will help when it comes time to do this project. If no one knows the date/name, especially of great grandparents, it is ok, obviously. Find as much information as possible).

On a passé une semaine INCROYABLE!!! BRAVO aux élèves de division 3!!!!
The 'visage' (or face) for the portfolio must be finished for tomorrow (cut, coloured and written in French).
Portfolios will be due next Wednesday morning. Students will have to have the three pages coloured by this time. We, also, spoke in class about time management. If students have events on the weekend, they should be planning to do their homework in the evenings, and avoid doing anything last minute. This will be an on-going theme, as I hope to get students thinking about their time and managing their work load in the time they have. This will be an essential skill in future years! :)
lundi - Grace
mardi - Wayne mercredi - Ava jeudi - Anja vendredi - Hudson I am so proud of our students! This is a wonderful class! I am very proud of how hard they are all working and the enthusiasm they are showing is fantastic!
Tomorrow's aide de class is Aksel. L'aide de classe vendredi est Dianna. Students need to colour and cut out their fleur de lys image for demain. The Grade 6 theme is 'French dinner.' Items for the raffle basket are due tomorrow.
Tomorrow's 'aide de classe' is Cam. Students need to colour and cut out their Eiffel Tower images for tomorrow. Each student needs to get two large cereal boxes for their final project in their first French Unit, titled "Moi." Please keep these boxes at home, folded and stored. If they are brought to school early, they will end up missing or bent, in all probability. I am simply telling you this now, since some people may need more time to collect cereal boxes than others. I hope to finish this unit by early October, but it will all depend how quickly things go.
L'aide de classe demain est Maddi. Every student received a copy of their information from the office. If there are any changes, please cross out the old information and write the new information on the page. If there are no changes, please still sign the form, so the office knows you have read the form and the information is correct. Please return the form in your child's agenda for Monday.
The aide de classe for lundi est Evan. Class rules also need to be read and signed, and some students still need their forms (technology, media consent and parent driver) and $5.25 for Monday. I respectfully request all students bring a top for gym class. Also, students who wear clothes like jeans on a daily basis, will need to bring breathable shorts for P.E.
Students need to write a list of three topics they would like to research for "Genius Minute" this year. Students need to bring 5,25$ for their agendas tomorrow. There are forms and information about a nut allergy going home. Nic is the 'aide de classe' tomorrow! He needs an interesting photo (online) to share with the class. This photo can be anything that interests Nic. |
