Copies with parent signatures have been taken for student files. Interims are going home for you to keep with your child's other reports. :)
Interim Reports go home today and need to be returned signed by Wednesday. Once I have a photocopy of the signed report for the file, the original Report will go home for your records.
Students who do not have red, green and blue pens need to make sure they have one of each, please. We use coloured pens a lot in class. Students can have more colours, but red, blue and green are the most common.
Thank you. :) The written portion of the family tree (names, birthdates, ages, etc.) are all to be written down on their good copy for Monday. (Colouring and finishing the background drawing is not due Monday.)
Please make sure you are wearing appropriate clothes for the Terry Fox run.
Also, tattoos are going home today. Please put the tattoos on AT HOME before school. Thank you. The immunization date has been moved to November 5, 2015.
Parents, I must beg your forgiveness! In all honesty, I forgot to hand out the immunization forms last week. I apologize for any inconvenience because I know it can take time to fill in these forms and find the information. Shots are Oct. 8 before lunch.
There are also forms for Terry Fox Run and a school-wide singing of "Oh, Canada." In class, we will be beginning to draw our family trees tomorrow. I am excited to see the students' work and I know there will be conversations about family members! I love this project because it offers the opportunity to learn so much about how our families grew! :) We did a Math Frenzy WS A. Students need to finish for tomorrow. We discussed some strategies to find answers if we don't know (ex. 12 X 9=? Break down the multiplication into smaller chunks. ex. 3 X 9=, do that four times, add the answers and voila!) Students will need to know their multiplication tables up to 12. |
