Hello! I'm wondering if there's a parent or two who might have a bit of spare time to help me organize/photocopy some math tomorrow or Friday?
I'd greatly appreciate any help (but no pressure). :)
Merci beaucoup!

Birthdates, marriage dates, ages and names for all uncles, aunts and first cousins are due for Monday.
NOTE: if you have a family that has 20 first cousins, for example, students can choose 4 or 5 of their cousins they are closest to! (or maybe a tiny bit sooner) ...students will need TWO LARGE cereal (or similar) boxes. The front and back of each box must be big enough so students can draw and cut out an 18 x 22 cm rectangle on each. They will need 4 of these rectangles in total, that is why they will need 2 boxes! :)
Students will be completing an 'album de famille' (family album) and an 'arbre généalogique' (family tree) in this first unit in French.
For the Family Tree and the Album, students need the following information for their immediate family: mom(s), dad(s), brother(s), sister(s), dog(s), cat(s), and themselves by THURSDAY: 1) full name 2) date of birth 3) age 4) for mom and dad, when they were married Please NOTE: the SAME information will be needed for all aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and great grandparents in following days/weeks. I will put more information on this site as I assign the work. I realize that sometimes families do not always have access to all this information, especially for the older generations. Students need to bring whatever information they can find. Obviously, students will not be penalised if they are unable to find information for their great grandparents, for example. Students are always encouraged to ask me questions and if there are certain special family circumstances, they may also discuss with me. I want to make sure no one is uncomfortable doing this project. Merci. ...(or initial) your child's agenda every day. This way, I know you have read the agenda and know (some of) what we did today in class!
Please bring $5 for your agendas by le mercredi 16 septembre!
Welcome to the 2015 - 2016 school year!
Bienvenue à la rentrée scolaire 2015 à 2016! Welcome to my class website for Division 3! Please take a few moments with your child to look over my site. We did take some time today to look it over in class. My email is always listed at the top ([email protected])! This homework 'page' is also a blog and students can post questions below each section. For example, they can post a comment about what is written in this post titled "Welcome/Bienvenue!!!" at the bottom of this same post! In general, my homework policy is that students will take home work if they did not finish it in class. There will be more at-home work during projects. I do not tend to send a lot of French work home, as most of it is oral and we do it in class where the students have access to me if they need help or have questions. :) I do expect that work assigned for home or bringing back letters, etc, be finished and handed in either the next day (for small assignments) or, when specified, by the due date. I recognize that students often have extra-curricular activities. When/if there are days in the week where a student has activities back-to-back and might have difficulty completing homework that specific day, I will work with the student to find a solution. In general, I like to work with students to help them manage their time so they can learn how to do their homework, even on busy days. I believe that learning time management is an essential skill for all people, and one that will become ever more important as they grow older! :) Of course, surprise trips to see grandmothers or unexpected events do happen, and where there is a valid reason, I encourage students to simply talk to me the following morning to let me know why they didn't finish their homework. When students forget to do their work or forget their work at home, they will get a few reminders at first, and I will work with them to help create strategies that might help them remember. Next Tuesday. 32 marks. You will need to: Describe 8 (4 male, 4 female) parts of the male/female reproductive organs. Label the male and female reproductive organs on two diagrams (make and female). |
