All Ocean Cliff students will be participating in this exciting program. Funded by the BC Ministry of Health, students will gain awareness of the health benefits of fruits and vegetables and the safe handling practices of fruit and vegetable snacks. These LOCAL fruits and vegetables will be consumed in class to encourage the practice of eating healthy snacks.

1) 7 out of 10 4 - 8 year olds do not eat the minimum requirement of 5 servings of fruit and vegetables each day.
2) 62% of girls and 68% of boys between 9 - 13 years of age to not meet the minimum servings of fruit and vegetables each day.
*The fruits and veggies offered include: sliced or whole apples, blueberries, carrots, cucumbers, grapes, kiwifruit, Mandarin oranges, peaches, sliced or whole pears, peppers, plums, sugar snap peas, and tomatoes.
