It is finally here! La rentrée scolaire!!
I cannot wait to welcome back all my old students and I am thrilled to meet all my new students!
Parents, I apologize for the different class lists. I think in the confusion last year, there were some mistakes. Also, some students today were handed old lists. However, we will make it work!
A few things to note. All my students need to please have a water bottle with them at school, every day. Also, in order to make our new carpets last for decades, I have an 'in school' shoe policy. These will be shoes (not sandals or flip flops) that will only be worn inside the class and school. This policy really helped keep the class clean last year!
I recommend your 'in school' shoes be runners so they can be used in gym class. That way, we can also help keep our gym, and hallways, clean.
If you have not already done so, please purchase a dictionary. There are many different kinds and they will all work (so long as there is no Québec flag on it. That means that only Québecois vocab is in the dictionary, and I teach students both types of French), but over the years I have learned that the Collins Easy French in colour works the best as it is the most user friendly.
