We will be working on some journal entries to discuss Healthy Relationships. We will be focusing on assessing the influence that peers having on individuals' attitudes and behaviour and identifying strategies for preventing and responding to bullying and discrimination.
Students have 6 questions to answer tonight. Journal Entries are always double spaced and must be legible. They received a rubric today, detailing what the responses should look like.
1) What is bullying?
2)Why do people often bully or tease?
3)What is being "cool?"
4)What does "I do not agree with a word you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" (paraphrase of Voltaire, a really smart French guy)?
5)What is the difference between 'hate' and 'dislike?'
6)When a BIG situation arises that involves numerous people, how can we solve it?
